Vision

LEGACHÉ is building a future where intelligence technology earns trust, expands human capability, and advances progress without compromising people or the planet.

Platform Statement

  1. 01

    Trust

Progress depends on trustworthy tools. We build from deterministic principles, applying intelligence with discretion and precision to deliver end-to-end transparency and durable accuracy.

  2. 02

    Hope

The future is human. We build tools for rigor that empower people to solve consequential societal and environmental problems with confidence.

  3. 03

    Ownership

We deliberately retain ownership so we can build according to our values, remain independent of the traditional tech playbook, and respect every stakeholder—including the environment.

A letter from the founders

LEGACHE / Platform signal

The future is human.
  • Trust
  • Hope
  • Ownership

LEGACHE was founded by an unlikely duo to solve the existential concerns regarding intelligence technology and its integration in society. To date, massive private-equity-backed companies have been framing the narrative on how intelligence technology should be used, its purported panacea properties, and, of course, the dystopian future they are inviting us all to.

We dare to signal a different message—one that builds trust and hope, and empowers people to actually do the hard work that’s going to solve our biggest societal and environmental problems. To do so, we have chosen not to follow the “tech playbook” and go after rounds and rounds of funding within the Silicon Valley elite. Deliberately retaining ownership is the only way to ensure we can build according to our values.

And build we have. Our narrative is that the future is human and, if we give people tools built for rigor, they can do amazing things. Additionally, if we can do it while being respectful of all stakeholders, including the environment, well then, we have the recipe for actual progress and innovation.

This is just the start, and we invite you to be a part of the movement that places people and pragmatism on equal footing to do critical work.

Best,

Carter and Quintin

The Issues

These are the problems we see and are now solving.

  1. 01

    Capability over compulsion

    Human Aligned Values

A tool should make you more capable, not hijack your neural pleasure pathways or diminish your critical-thinking ability. Cassandra incentivizes the user to ask deeper, novel questions to spearhead the next generation’s breakthroughs. Our fundamental traits as humans are to think critically and to love. Now, we’re not a matchmaking service, but we’re betting that the human will to solve problems will never change, so we designed Cassandra to amplify that innate superpower.

  2. 02

    Efficiency by design

    Environmental Impact

Earth is our home, and responsible stewardship of resources is our directive. If intelligence is to be scalable, it must be economical. We’ve solved that through sophisticated compression algorithms that use far fewer resources than the big guys. Additionally, we can pass those savings on to our customers. The proof is in our practices.

  3. 03

    Transparency that holds

    Trust

The foundation of all progress is built on trust. Trust in your relationships, community and, of course, your tools. Intelligence tools have to be trustworthy to be useful. We’ve flipped the intelligence world on its head by operating from deterministic principles first, then applying intelligence with discretion and precision. The result is end-to-end transparency with durable accuracy that holds at scale.

The Team

Portrait of Quintin Leger

Quintin Leger

A death metal guitar player, educator and community organizer. Quintin is passionate about fostering talent and finding novel ways to uplift others. As a lifetime metal head and Beethoven connoisseur, Quintin regards bucking the trend and rebelling against institutions (commercial or public) that don’t serve their constituents as the rule, not the exception. He’s also a huge Lady Gaga fan.

Portrait of Carter Gache

Carter Gache

A prodigious psychonaut that once hacked UC Berkeley’s private network for fun (resulting in academic suspension). Equally adept on a tennis court as he is free diving with spearguns, Carter brings a creative fervor for solving the technical problems that could advance humanity. When he’s not ruminating on futurist musings, you can find him reading the sci-fi lexicon, petting his cat, Emi, or amassing fortunes in Eve Online.

Scientific Advisors

  • Portrait of Jose Catalan

    Jose Catalan

    Scientific Advisor

Jose Catalan is a Scientist at Bandelier Technologies, where he conducts experimental research in quantum optics, photonics, and sensing technologies.

Jose holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University, with a focus on lasers and optical engineering. His research background spans quantum and nonlinear optics, spectroscopy, biomedical imaging, and the development of experimental optical systems. He has also led laboratory and field research involving advanced instrumentation, data acquisition, and complex experimental testing.

At LEGACHÉ, Jose brings the perspective of an experimental scientist to the development of AI-enabled tools for scientific research. His advisory work focuses on how platforms such as Cassandra can support researchers in navigating complex scientific literature, connecting information across disciplines, and integrating AI into real-world research workflows.

Jose is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Outside of his scientific work, he enjoys photography, hiking, and exploring new places.
